Pattern breaking

We are not in the world where we are so much addicted to patterns that it is difficult to break out. We've already created enough patterns around us that people predict our behaviour, our future even in the case where we are totally confused about how to react.

I've seen many of them who always say, we need to be predictible in anything we do. My reasoning would be entirely reverse. I'd say that we need to be unpredictible, totally unpredictible for, if we are predictible people will take us for granted and we'll not only feel pressurized, we lose our energy in thinking about negative aspects of life - failures, stress etc which will ruin us from seeing the positive aspects of life.

Let me explain what a pattern means. We say a pattern is said to have set in when same event occurs time and again and we can undoubtedly predict that this event will occur in future over the same period. We are so bound to patterns that the way we talk follows a pattern, the way we walk follows a pattern, the way we speak follows a pattern, the way we write follows a pattern, the way we interact follows a pattern, the way we listen follows a pattern, the way we dress follows a pattern, almost everything gets covered by this damn thing :-). If left unnoticed, this leads to a situation wherein our behaviours will become predictable to others. Although, it's good in some cases, and equally bad in the rest as well. It shields us from not only doing things which are not obvious, but also acts like a fog and we'll not be able to see what we could do beyond obvious.

The next question arises is this, "Ok! I got to know my pattern. What do I do now?" This is when we need to apply our instant wit (one of my friend calls this as gut feeling). If you feel that the pattern which you've recognized is unseen by others, carry on with it lest break it.
